Heather Leigh Halfhill

June 26, 1979 - July 11, 2020

Heather Leigh Halfhill, 41, of Richmond, Ky., passed away at Baptist Health Lexington on July 11, 2020, from complications of a stroke. She was born on June 26, 1979, in Boulder, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Harold L. Halfhill and Anita K. Halfhill of Richmond. She is survived by her husband of 23 years Bubby T. Powell; a son Cody T. Powell and a daughter Kayleigh A. Powell of Richmond; a brother Harold L. Halfhill ll and a sister-in-law Sonya S Halfhill (Rooks) of Paducah, Ky. She is also survived by her nephews Alec Tyler and Hunter Ashton Halfhill of Paducah, Ky. 

She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1997, where she was on the dance team. She attended the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from Richmond Beauty school with a degree in cosmetology. She also graduated from Kentucky Business College with a business degree. She worked for the majority of her career for Eastern Kentucky University Student Affairs. She also worked for Great Clips in Richmond, Lexington and Berea.

She loved going on vacation and spending time with her family. She also loved to do crafts and sing and dance, especially in the car. She was an amazing, kind-hearted, funny person and an amazing mom. She is cherished by her many friends and family and will be greatly missed.
