Robert "Bob" Lemuell Turpin

Robert “Bob” Lemuell Turpin, 80, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Baptist Health- Richmond.

Bob was born on July 19, 1941 in Madison County and was the son of William Robert and Mary Elizabeth Rowlette Turpin, both of whom preceded him in death. Bob retired from Eastern Kentucky University as Purchasing Director, and was a member of Madison Hills Christian Church. He was an avid runner and fisherman, loved EKU and UK sports, and enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Ann F. Turpin; two sons, Mark Turpin (Denise), of Lexington, and Darrin Turpin (Kim), of Madison, AL; one daughter, Amy Calvert (Rich), of LaGrange; one brother, Billy Glenn Turpin (Mimi); nine grandchildren, Clay Turpin, Hannah Turpin, Grace Turpin, Bryce Teater, Braden Carrington (Galen), Savannah Calvert, Madison Calvert, Sydney Calvert, and Jackson Calvert; and one great-granddaughter, JiAnna Carrington.

A celebration of life was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Madison Hills Christian Church with Bros. Marty Frazer and Ben Stroup officiating.
