Mr. Paul Kidd "Pete" Meadors II, 70, the husband of Sharon Dalton Meadors, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Pete, as he was known to his family and friends, was born October 15, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan. He was the son of the late Paul Kidd Meadors and Wanda June Karr Meadors. Pete graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Industrial Arts and Technology. He was a retired Teacher at KCTCS/BCTC campus, formerly known as Kentucky Technical College. In addition, he taught extended campus learning courses at EKU.

Pete was a man of faith. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing all of our earth's great beauty. He enjoyed cruises, camping, hiking and kayaking. He had visited all 50 states. Pete was fortunate enough to be a recipient of a liver transplant nine years ago and went on to become a spokesperson for the Central Kentucky Donate Life.

Survivors include his wife Sharon, and her daughter: Sherri Martina Eden; one aunt, Pauline Kidd Cornelius, as well as several cousins and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Meadors.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Joe M. Masters, Steve Hamblin, Gary Gray, Larry Hill, Ashley McKay, Brian Dalton and Doug Justice.

Though his northern demeanor could be challenging to understand at times, his genuine care, warmth and the mischievous glimmer in his eye made all that he cared for love him.
