Patricia Gayle Brandenburg

Mrs. Patricia Gayle Wells Brandenburg, age 81, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Brandenburg, the daughter of the late William and Velma Skinner Wells, was born in the College Hill Community of Madison County on October 19, 1939. She retired from EKU and had worked in the Campus Bookstore. She will be remembered as an avid golfer and UK basketball fan. She dearly loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.

Patricia united in marriage to Carter Royce Brandenburg who preceded her in death on September 12, 2007.

Survivors include: three sons: Carter Hogan (& Anne) Brandenburg of Hubert, NC, Steven Noal Brandenburg and Michael Hampton Brandenburg both of Conway, SC; her daughter: Susan (& Jackie) Bybee of Richmond; one sister: Sue Wells Barnes; five grandchildren: Todd (& Sarah) Brandenburg, Rebecca Brandenburg, Carter Paul (& Rebecca) Brandenburg, Katlyn Kendrick and Kristine Kendrick; seven great grandchildren: Luke Brandenburg, Logan Brandenburg, Jacob Brandenburg, Anna Brandenburg, Carter Paul Brandenburg, Jr., Harper Belcher and Hadley Belcher and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Sells officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Hubert Broaddus, Carter Paul Brandenburg, Larry Brandenburg, Tim Brandenburg, Robby Bales, Jim Barnes, Mark Wall and Joey Barnes.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Madison Country Club Ladies League, Kenny Wilson, Al Tribble, Rick O’Toole, Randy Ballard, Jimmy Curry, Buddy Stone, Bruce Lainhart, Shawn Ballard, Rick Wilkinson and Pat Begley.
