Pamela Dee Blake Lawrenz, 76, died Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Richmond, Kentucky at Baptist Health-Richmond. 

Born on August 28, 1945, in Aberdeen, South Dakota she was the daughter of the late Vernon L. Blake and Mildred Viola Howell Blake.  Pamela worked as a curriculum developer at Eastern Kentucky University and as a middle school teacher. Pamela was the proud wife of Dale for 55 years. They enjoyed traveling internationally, fishing and hunting together. Her favorite pastime was watching her four grandchildren in their many and varied sporting events and activities. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and a Deacon.

She was also a founding volunteer and Range Officer of 4H Shooting Sports for 22 years, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and Food Kitchen/Canteen and volunteered as an instructor with the "Hooked On Fishing, Not on Drugs" program.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a younger brother, Vernon Leroy Blake II.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Lawrenz; one daughter, Tracy Lawrenz Lamb (John) of Richmond, Ky.; one son, Brett Lee Lawrenz (Courtney) of Richmond, Ky.; one brother, Jonathan Blake of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, Carter Lamb, Shelby Lamb, John Tucker Lamb and Piper Lawrenz and numerous cousins, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, Richmond, with Dr. Curtis Christian officiating.
