Harold Dean Webb
Mr. Harold Dean Webb, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Baptist Health-Richmond.
Harold was born on June 24, 1940, in Madison County, the son of the late Orville and Julia Elizabeth “Eva” Cain Webb. He was a devoted educator, husband, father and grandfather. Harold was a graduate of Madison Central High School and Eastern Kentucky University.
As an educator, he served many roles, including high school business teacher, assistant principal, Title 1 Director, Director of Federal Programs, Director of Pupil Personnel and Superintendent of the Richmond City Schools. After retiring from public education, he became a part-time instructor in the College of Education at Eastern Kentucky University.
He was a member of The Waco Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher and member of the Senior Adult Choir.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred Smith Webb; one daughter: Kimberly Scott (Greg); one son: Bradley Dean Webb (Erika); four grandchildren: Jonathan Tyler Scott, Brett Ashton Scott, Henry Dean Webb and Julia Claire Webb; three great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law: Nancy Webb as well as a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Wayne Donald Webb and one sister: Sue Carolyn Whaley.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022, at The Waco Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Eades and Bro. David Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tyler Scott, Ashton Scott, Scott Colbenson, Matthew Whaley, Houston Lamb, Jeff Culton, West Cole and Toby Honaker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Henry “Hank” Webb, Pete Cain, Hershell Sparks, Billy Ray Hughes, Kenny Sewell, Steve Parke, Bill Whittamore, Danny Callahan, Mike Rose, Wayne Lakes, Jim Caldwell, Tom Webster and Randy Hensley.
