Cheryl Ann Jackson
Cheryl Ann Jackson, 76, died on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at her home in Richmond, Kentucky.
She was born on March 3, 1947, in Lowry City, Missouri to the late Woodrow and Orpha Shoemaker Bray. Cheryl was an Educator and Professor of Music Education at Eastern Kentucky University. She wrote and published music for many concert bands and was a member of the Central Kentucky Concert Band as well as the Yorktown Chamber Winds. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Richmond, Kentucky where she volunteered freely of her time and was dearly loved by her church family.
Survivors include one son, Aaron Edward Jackson (Kimberly) of Missouri; one daughter, Lisa Michelle Ross (Clay Ross) of Kansas; five grandchildren, Ian Ross, Kyle Ross, Faith Ross, Alexander Jackson and Luna Jackson; one great grandchild, Leonardo Ross; one sister, Joyce Bray. nieces and nephews; one great aunt, Lucille Clayton and her cherished dogs, Chloe and Max.
A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Richmond, Kentucky, with Rev. Bruce Nettleton officiating.
Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of services.
