Austin Newsom

Austin Ryan Christopher Newsom, age 29, passed away April 21, 2023, at his residence in Berea, KY. He was born June 24, 1993, in Martin, KY to Ricky D. and Brenda B. Newsom. Austin was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University Aviation. Included with his Pilot Certification he was a Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument, Certified Flight Instructor Multi-Engine, Single Engine, and Multi-Engine Land Commercial/Instrument Pilot. Austin also received the Booth Scholar Award and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Award.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Ann Covey Newsom, one brother, Aaron Newsom and his wife Amber of Fort Pierce, FL, a special nephew, Mason, and his beloved dog Ollie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00PM Sunday at the Central Kentucky Regional Airport, 124 Madison County Airport Road Richmond, KY 40475 with CDR Mark E. Farris, Chaplain Corp, USN, ret. officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until service time at the Airport Facility.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Madison County Animal Shelter.
